Wetherspoons food and restaurant review
Hello and good day from the planet Earth. I am Bob, a space alien from the planet Nouala. I have after some time managed to escape the clutches of Eric Strudelhofen who makes people worship him far too regularly.
Now, I am a regular traveller, and I recently landed on the planet Earth in my shiny spaceship after receiving a Wetherspoons gift card, and after travelling through space and time, I managed to park my spaceship in the car park nearest a pub I had heard of called Wetherspoons. Wetherspoons was advertised on the intergalactic web and looked very inviting, and they call Wetherspoons a chain, and there are over 900 Wetherspoons restaurants in the country I am visiting, which is called Great Britain.
Now upon entering Wetherspoons, I was unsure what to expect, and before me I saw many strange and interesting individuals who were human and were conversing in the language they call English, and English makes no sense at all to Space aliens mostly, but luckily I had been on a course online, so I could understand that a man was talking about smuggling onion rings in his underpants.
The interior of Wetherspoons was bright and cheerful and the bar was filled with more drinks than a space alien could handle after a long journey across the galaxy, and personally I am not one for drink driving my spaceship, but I thought I would try a pint of coke and a pint of Ruddles, which is an alcoholic beverage and extremely cheap, a chicken korma curry. The meal was incredibly cheap unlike the pubs and restaurants on the planet Nouala.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and were full of smiles and were extremely cheerful and very helpful, and quite obviously enjoying their jobs.
The staff had not seen many space aliens in Wetherspoons and were delighted to see me and after ordering my food I sat down at the table and began to drink the coke. The coke was an interesting drink and made me think of being in the bathtub after eating too many baked beans. Yes, the coke was really delicious and I felt like jumping up and down and waving my arms around as it was so tasty, but I thought the humans might think it odd, and I did not want to disturb the man talking about smuggling onion rings in his underpants who was sat nearby.
Next I tried the pint of Ruddles, and it was a rather strange alcoholic drink, and it was apparently made from Ale. Ale drink to that I thought, and it was pleasant, and mildly alcoholic, but one was enough as I did not want to crash my spaceship later on.
The food then arrived, and before me sat a plate of what they call Chicken korma, which consisted of chicken covered in creamy mild sauce, rice, some small crunchy spaceships called poppadoms, and what they call garlic Naan. The chicken korma was absolutely delicious, and was delicate and full of flavour and the rice was too and it had a nice texture. The garlic Naan was warm and tasty, and was a distant relative of bread and was incredibly soft and moist, although I did feel a bit bad eating someones bread that was meant for their grandmother.
The whole meal was absolutely superb and I can highly recommend Wetherspoons as a place to eat. The whole atmosphere of Wetherspoons is absolutely amazing and there were smiling people everywhere, which you do not see in many places on the planet Earth.
I loved every minute of being in Wetherspoons, and I will definitely be going back there as it is a wonderful place to meet people and converse about many different things. It really was a pleasure talking to the bar staff who were incredibly busy with the many customers, but the service from the bar staff was amazing and they were so kind and attentive and I couldn’t believe how cheerful they were, because where I come from people are miserable and they have to pretend to be cheerful whilst worshipping Eric Strudelhofen who preaches to them in his underpants.
The Royal Oak pub in Dorchester is around 300 years old, and is described as being of late 18th/early 19th-century origin.
It is a very interesting building and quite clearly the owners of Wetherspoons take very good care of their buildings, and the toilet facilities are first class and are very clean and are most excellent. By the way toilet roll was delicious!
Thank you kindly to Wetherspoons for kindly promoting my work in previous issues of the Wetherspoons magazine and for kindly giving me the gift with which I was able to purchase the meal to review it.
